Rhythm & Beats is part of The Sanctuary Sessions — our intimate gatherings held inside The Sanctuary of East Harlem. These nights blend music, movement, sensation, and community into an experience that’s both grounding and deliciously alive.

If you’ve ever felt the rhythm of paddles, canes, and hands syncing with the music — scenes flowing together like a living soundscape — you already know the pulse of this night.

WHAT TO EXPECT

8:00 PM | Doors Open

1. Enter into a relaxed social hour, get to know your fellow attendees and build connections.

9:00 PM | Opening Circle + Doors Close

1. We arrive together, set intentions, and review safety, consent, rhythm, and technique.
2. Doors close at 9PM to ensure the intention and safety of the event.

9:30PM | Four Rhythmic Impact Sessions

Each session builds on the last:

1. Warm-Up – light, steady, grounding
2. Build – increasing rhythm, presence, and connection
3. Peak – focused energy, heightened sensation
4. Cooldown – softening, slowing, integrating

Rest & Community Time

1. Hydrate, snack, breathe, talk, connect.

Aftercare

1. A gentle landing space before heading home.

Rhythm & Beats takes place in a members-based space, shaped by the values and culture of our community — care, intention, and accountability. Membership isn’t required to attend, but joining the Kink Collective allows you to engage more fully with our events, recieve discounted access to our in-person events, and participate in our weekly online room, Conscious Conversations, which explores identity, sexuality, and relationships, allowing you to deepen your connection with yourself and to the pulse of our community.

YOUR FACILITATORS

Joshua & Cat — holders of the 2025 Northeast Power Exchange Title — are internationally recognized educators known for their philosophy: People Before Kink.

They, along with trained Kink Collective facilitators, create a space where consent, care, and connection shape every moment.

Participants often describe their sessions as transformative — places where they feel safe enough to explore, supported enough to stretch, and seen enough to show up fully.
