A Rainbow of Connection: Non-Sexual Intimacy for Loving Partners

Connect more deeply with your spouse or partner(s) when you learn to add non-sexual forms of intimacy-building to your relationship

What does “intimate” mean to you? We’ve been taught that it’s a euphemism for sex and that it’s inherently erotic. But intimacy simply describes a sense of closeness, of knowing and being known, of being safe and having the freedom to be vulnerable with someone we trust. Our friends in the Asexual and Aromantic communities have started important dialogues about the ways that we can be intimate in addition to, OR instead of, the sexual. Understanding and embracing more types of intimacy helps all of us form deeper, more fulfilling relationships even when we’re not on the ace/aro spectrum.

Join sex educator Katy Harrison for an exploration of the different forms intimacy can take, and how profoundly they can improve your partnerships. We’ll be talking about:

  • The range of types of intimacy beyond the sexual, and why they matter
  • Ways to use these types to build strong, loving connections with asexual partners, within mixed-libido relationships, and at times where for any reason sex isn’t at the forefront
  • How non-sexual types of intimacy impact sexual intimacy, and how to value them more deeply

If you’re on the ace/aro spectrum, or you’re involved with someone who is, this workshop will offer valuable reflection and techniques for building a strong and fulfilling connection. If you’re allosexual, you’ll learn how to bring in other forms of intimacy for closeness rather than depending on sex to carry your entire relationship. All genders, orientations, and neurotypes are welcome and included, as are all relationship styles and statuses. Register now and get ready to take your partnerships to a new level of joy and pleasure!

This class is virtual and will be recorded, with the link to the recording provided to all registrants. Sliding scale tiers are available, and you may also inquire about sliding scale accommodations at events@tamarapincus.com.
