SCHEDULE:
🔸 Thursday, May 8th: The Deadly Duo
A Shibari Performance with KissMeDeadlyDoll & BabyDeadly
All levels · 2 hours · $25/person a la carte
Known for their captivating performances and deep exploration of power dynamics, this pair brings their blend of emotion and intricate rope work to the stage. After the performance, we’ll hang out for a casual Q&A where you can hear more about how they create together and what goes into making scenes like this come to life.
🔸 Friday, May 9th: Intentional Floor Play
Beginner-friendly (Open to all levels) · 3 hours · $125/pair a la carte
What makes rope feel good? In this experiential workshop, Chelsa and Bethany invite you to explore how intention shapes connection on the floor. Through thought exercises, group discussion, and guided demo, we’ll explore elements like distance, timing, softness vs suffering, and how to build deeper connection through movement and awareness. This class prioritizes interaction and body dynamics over complex rope skills—expect to focus on your partner, not the pattern. Bring 4–6 hanks of rope (less is fine!) and a blindfold or cloth. Prior knowledge of a single column, half hitches, munter hitches, and a basic X-friction will be helpful.
🔸 Saturday, May 10th: Bamboo Suspension Sequences for the Indecisive
Appropriate for Those Already Suspending · 6 hours [including lunch] · $300/pair a la carte
Can’t decide between legs-open or legs-closed suspensions? This class says: why not both? Join Chelsa and Bethany for a playful and dynamic workshop focused on transitions between leg positions in suspension. You’ll learn 2–3 sequence structures and dive into decision-making in motion—how and when to shift a scene, and how to support your partner through transitional moments. This class is fast-paced and designed for experienced riggers with solid rope handling and suspension skills. Any upper body harness may be used, and we’ll discuss the pros and cons of various options. Bring your full suspension kit and come ready to explore!
🔸 Sunday, May 11th: Rope Photos 4 Dummies
All levels · 4 hours · $125/person a la carte
Curious about capturing stunning rope moments but don’t know where to start? In this demo-based class, Chelsa will tie both Bethany and Ordinals in similar ties and walk you through how to photograph them—covering camera settings, lighting options, and finding your angle. Whether you’re using a DSLR or a phone, you’ll gain hands-on tips for creating impactful rope photos. Students will have a chance to practice shooting once the scenes are in place. Please bring your camera or phone (with a manual camera app like Camera+ if possible) and your curiosity!
