This gathering is for Asian men who want a place to speak honestly about race, masculinity, our inner lives, and relationships. Many of us carry pressure to be composed, competent, deferential, de-sexualized, or invisible. This is a space to explore who we aspire to be as Asian men. We meet to unpack, heal, and guide each other on a path to deeper becoming.
We aim to show up for each other with both strength and care: to have sharp swords where sharp swords are needed and also delicate spaces where we can fall apart. A core value of this gathering is that we look at each other and see the potential of who we can each be.
If you want to be with other men who can understand both the baggage and gifts you grew up with, this space is for you. We are open to those who consider themselves East, South, and Southeast Asian.
Doors open at 6:40. We start at 7pm.
Sliding scale $10-40 (suggested $25), offered in the spirit of a small gift, like bringing fruit or a red envelope. Contributions help cover the cost of the space.
