Atheist "Church" - New Member Initiation

On January 17th, The Assemblage of Areté will induct new members through a special ceremony: the flamewalk! Those who wish to join us are invited to literally walk through a wall of fire, signifying their commitment to seek an enlightened world, where people are excellent to each other, and party on! It takes courage to take this first literal step on the journey towards Areté, but doing it proves to yourself that you can conquer your fears and reach for greatness in your life.

The fire-stage of membership is our introductory stage of membership, for those who like the idea of Aretéanism and want to learn more by getting involved in our community. It's free (everything is always free), it requires no other commitments, and it's badass. No need to sign the rest of your life away, or even to commit to continued attendance- this step is just a way of saying "I like this and want to be part of the community". If you're already ready for more commitment than that, this will be a great first step on your way to water membership, or even air and earth membership!
