A 3.5 hour Somatic Exploration of the Field Between
This is an age of alienation. We dream of being seen and embraced in our entirety. We thrill at the jolt of erotic charge as it moves through the body. Every possibility seems to stand ready, right at our fingertips. And yet when we reach out to touch, it’s like our senses are dulled by thick gloves. The habits of mind we’ve inherited so often seem to lead us further and further away from the intimacy and wholeness we seek.
For many of us, our most beautiful moments resonate in a deep attunement with others, whether a partner or family, or perhaps at a concert or in nature. These moments shine with a vivid warmth and ease in the world. Yet often they arise as if by magic, and attempts to recreate them fall flat. Are there ways to return to these states of intimate attunement?
This workshop will guide participants to open to all the parts of themselves and their partners, holding thoughts and feelings and senses, even those parts that feel contracted and constricting.
Bringing gentle curiosity to our whole experience may unveil something fresh and whole. A space where the tightness drops and the boundary between your feeling-body and the world becomes permeable. Others appear illuminated in their fullness, in the light of your fullness. This is the resonance of attunement.
The Attunement workshop will direct you toward an experience of the forces that move through a grounded body-mind directed toward others, and how to integrate that more into life.
We will work with breath, subtle body awareness, and partnered practice to explore what becomes possible when two people slow down and look more deeply. We will work with erotic energy, exploring ways to awaken eros and to intensify and conduct it through the body and into the relational field. And we will guide you into intimate openness with the places where connection fails.
What We'll Explore
Grounding and the Bridge of Care. Begin with the body-mind. Vase breathing to settle, grounding in the radiant field to open, and bringing a tender, intimate openness to any intensity, discomfort, or tension rising in the body.
Circulating Winds. Using breath and awareness to generate warmth, conduct internal forces, and transform touch. Open to the shared field of experience, rather than two parallel experiences happening in proximity.
Intimate Openness with Knots. When we’re in pain, we often shrink back to protect ourselves and reconnection is not always pleasant. Taking care not to fall into dissociation, we’ll sit together inside resentment, numbness, boredom, hurt. Not to fix them, to attune to these points of separation in tender resonance with a partner.
Conducting the Symphony. Explore tracking and conducting another person's feeling-body. Notice breath, skin tone, muscle tension, sound, micro-movement, facial expression. the whole non-verbal, animal stuff of life that’s always happening, whether or not we notice.
Erotic Attunement. A graduated sequence of voluntarily partnered practices that emerge spontaneously from the group. Participants move through the space, first simply noticing the shared field of experience, and somatic forces. Then, gradually, we go through stages of voluntary engagement, approaching into ease, building intensity, and finally, touching and being touched with fully embodied, responsive intention. Partners may break at any time and return to group walking.
What to Expect
This is a high-engagement, experiential workshop. Brief teachings and demonstrations by Leo and Rene open each section, followed by partnered or group practices.
We sometimes work with erotic energy directly, attuning closely to the forces of desire and aliveness in our body and the relational field. Clothes stay on. This is not a play party. It is a careful, phenomenologically precise, and deeply embodied exploration of the field that forms between people.
We work from a trauma-informed standpoint. Participants will choose partners for themselves for each exercise. Any exercise can be modified or skipped. The container is designed so that stepping back or disconnecting from a partner is always possible, largely frictionless, and never requires explanation.
Bring radical self-honesty and curiosity. Be ready to sit with discomfort. Expect moments of pointless joy and ease. Learn to gently open into resonant attunement with others.
We will go deep, but the scope and duration of the workshop demands that we cannot do much more than sample these ecstatic states. Hopefully you will leave with astonishment at what is possible, and some clarity around entering and exploring such states independently.
Who This Is For
Your Guides
Rene Reveuse is a scientist and contemplative practitioner whose research explores how the brain, nervous system, and emotions shape arousal, attention, and rest. Her yogic practice centers on surrender as an active responsiveness that allows sensation to deepen and bloom into presence. She brings intellectual rigor, somatic refinement, and a finely calibrated capacity for tracking affective tone and guiding nervous systems into states of rich, resonant, grounded pleasure.
Leo Reveuse is a professional and contemplative guide specializing in precise, embodied attention to sensation, emotion, and relational dynamics. His professional work in conflict prevention and resolution gives him a sober, unromantic understanding of power, boundaries, and what responsibility actually requires. Two decades of contemplative practice have refined his capacity to remain present with intensity — particularly where eros, vulnerability, and control converge. Mind as vast as the sky; conduct as fine as flour.
Leo and Rene have shared a committed partnership for over 15 years. Their essential approach might be characterized as radical Dzogchen, but they draw from careful study of an abundance of incredible teachers and books. Everything Leo and Rene present has been extensively tested in the laboratory of their life together.
