Performer Bios:

❤ Jubilee - The San Francisco Chronicle says "Jubilee wields her lip like a boxing glove." But I think she's got great legs too! Jubilee is a multi-disciplinary artist, writer, and total hillbilly. She came from the Appalachian Mountains but has been high-kicking in San Francisco for over a decade.

❤ Marga Gomez (she,they) is a playwright, comedian, storyteller and actor known for her work in theatre and for being one of the first openly lesbian stand up comics in the nation. She has appeared on LOGO’s “One Night Stand Up,” Showtime's "Latino Laugh Festival,” Comedy Central’s “Out There" and HBO’s “Comic Relief” at the invitation of the late Robin Williams who called her “Amazing… a lesbian Lenny Bruce.” Her comedy has garnered multiple awards from 48/Hills San Francisco Bay Guardian and the Bay Area Reporter. Marga is the writer/performer of fourteen solo plays. Her newest play “Spanish Stew” will have its world premiere October 2025 at San Francisco’s New Conservatory Theater Center.

Her Off-Broadway and regional acting credits include The Search For Signs of Intelligent Life (2025 Aurora Theater, Berkeley,CA) Fefu and Her Friends (2022 American Conservatory Theater, San Francisco ) “Translating Selena” (2020 Campo Santo, San Francisco) “Dr. Ride’s American Beach House” (2019 Ars Nova Theater, New York) King of Cuba (2018 Central Works, Berkeley) as well as numerous productions of The Vagina Monologues sharing the stage with Rita Moreno and Vicki Lawrence. Film and television roles: Netflix "Sense 8." HBO's "Tracey Takes On..." and Warner Brothers "Batman Forever" and "Sphere." She has also been a guest on NPR’s Fresh Air and comedy podcasts Marc Maron’s "WTF," and Kevin Allison's "Risk."

Marga teaches solo performance in classrooms and online and is a tenured Artist-in-Residence at Brava Theater. Selections from Gomez’s work have been published in several anthologies including Seeking Common Ground (Methuen/Bloomsbury) Extreme Exposure (TCG Books), HOWL (Crown Press), Out Loud & Laughing (Anchor Books), Contemporary Plays by American Women of Color (Routledge) When I Knew (Harper-Collins) and Out of Character (Bantam Books.) ❤ Justin Hall is an award-winning cartoonist and educator. Hall created the comics True Travel Tales, Hard to Swallow, and Theater of Terror: Revenge of the Queers, and has work in publications such as the Houghton Mifflin Best American Comics, Best Erotic Comics, and the SF Weekly. He created the Lambda-Award-winning and Eisner-nominated collection No Straight Lines: Four Decades of Queer Comics and was Producer on the feature-length documentary of the same name, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival and won the Best Documentary Award at Outfest in 2021. Hall is the Chair of the MFA in Comics at California College of the Arts, the first Fulbright Scholar of comics, has written about comics for various academic publications, and has curated international exhibitions of comics art.

❤ Cari Rosner is an artist, dancer, feminist, a slutty free spirit, and a devoted mama of 2. She has been called a “sensation junky”, feeling the most present when experiencing the world through touch. Uninhibited by most social norms, she considers herself bisexual, polyamorous, gender fluid, and generally game. By day she’s a boss bitch running her own residential architecture firm and, yes, she would love to design you a sex-dungeon or polyamory palace. She believes growth comes from doing things she’s scared of, like telling a room full of strangers a most intimate story….She is BEYOND excited to be making her Bawdy debut.

❤ Jefferson Bergey is musically promiscuous. The Oakland-based singer-songwriter, MC, game-show host, and professional vocalist at-large has been writing and performing for Bawdy Storytelling! for ten years. In the realm of comedy and variety shows he’s been seen at Punchline SF, San Jose Improv, SF Sketchfest, Ruckus and Rumpus Revival, and has written custom songs for San Francisco’s MUNI Diaries and Laughs For Life.

As a solo act Bergey has been “negotiating covers” for the past decade as a live-looping solo act at private parties, weddings, corporate events, and music venues all over the greater Bay Area. He’s the namesake of Chef Matt Woods’ Bergey Burger, voted three-times “Best of the Bay”, currently served at Scopo Divino in San Francisco where he recently completed a 250 show residency.

You can see him fronting the Allman Brothers Tribute: Freestone Peaches, Crosseyed & Painless: The Music of Talking Heads, as a virtual game show host for WEVE (The Go Game), and featuring with Jazz Mafia’s Grateful Brass and Fog City Swing. When he isn’t performing, he’s flying all over the west coast and Hawaii to give lively presentations on leading bands on high-pressure events based on a manual he wrote from his colorful experiences as a wedding singer over the last decade.

In 2024 he became obsessed with the music and story of Frank Sinatra and has sold-out multi-show runs in Sacramento, L.A., and Oakland for Pure Soul Presents, Concerts Under the Stars, and Candlelight Concerts. He produces and performs a quarterly song/storytelling show called Sinatra Saloon; A Tale & A Tune.

Thanks to his supporters on Patreon, Bergey is currently recording a sonic-graphic-novel set to songs and narration. His most recent single release, ‘W.Y.D.O.T.D. pt. 1’ (originally written for Bawdy Storytelling) is one of the songs from that gritty story and can be found on your favorite streaming service (Listener Discretion Advised!)

❤ Dixie De La Tour is a sexual folklorist, professional storyteller, podcaster, teacher, storytelling coach, community builder and most of all, a facilitator. She is also the Founder, Curator & Host of the Award-winning storytelling series, Bawdy Storytelling (“The Moth for Pervs” - LA Weekly, “The Original Sex and Storytelling series” - Playgirl) that’s been lauded for its transformational, relatable, empowering performances. Dixie has been a featured storyteller for Risk!, the National Storytelling Conference, has emcee'd Leather and Sexuality Events and Conferences, and in addition to story and public speaking coaching for her own Bawdy series, she story-coaches for events such as TEDx, Women in Technology, and offers How to Be Fascinating: Dixie's Secret System for Brilliant Storytelling and How to Be Bawdy: Dixie’s Secret System for Uncensored Storytelling.

Ultimately, this story-loving southerner is passionate about storytelling’s ability to keep people safe, reduce social anxiety and connect us with strangers. Dixie has also been Sainted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (“Saint Kiss & Make You Tell”) for her work to reduce stigma and eliminate shame, and in her free time, she enjoys being a Muppet.
