BR Gateway is a special Black Rose meeting intended for individuals (18 and older) who are either new to BDSM or new to the DC kink scene. BR Gateway is designed to facilitate getting your questions answered!

• Negotiation
• Respect
• Public Playspaces
• Kink Groups (Online and Offline)

Attendees at this event tend to be from diverse ages, backgrounds, genders, orientations, and more — everyone is welcome. The meeting is an informal discussion and there is nothing you have to bring. Casual or business attire is more appropriate, scene wear is not appropriate (what you wore to work is fine). You do not need to be a member in order to attend the meeting.

Please plan to arrive by 7:40 p.m., as we try to be respectful of everyone’s time and thus begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. The presentation and most of the questions are typically over and answered by 9:30 p.m., though the presenters will frequently make themselves available for a short time afterwards in case you may have additional questions.

Tickets are only sold at the door. It costs $5 to attend. Anyone under 21 will be admitted free — just be sure to point it out to the person at the door before they ring you up.
