Bondage Below the Belt

Come explore genital bondage with us!

We use genital ties for torture, pleasure, and both together. In this class we'll discuss and demo a couple ties for external bits and a couple for internal bits, as well as time for attendees to tie and experiment.

There is so much variation, we cannot claim to offer ties for all possible types of genitals, but we will do our best offer options for a wide variety of shapes and sizes and discuss some variations for both external and internal bits influenced by hormone therapy.

TOPIC DISCLAIMER AND CONSIDERATIONS

We ask that everyone in this class approach the topic with sensitivity and care. Below are some notes about how we plan to approach the topic and some ground rules that we ask all participants to honor.

We understand that terminology may be a challenging aspect of genital ties for many folks. We will use the following "medical" terminology during the class: "penis", "balls", "vulva, "labia", "clitoris", "external" and "internal" genitalia, and potentially some other similar words. We will *not* use terminology such as "male" and "female" genitalia. We may occasionally use some slang terms to refer to ourselves and our own parts such as "dick", "cock", "pussy". We will not use those terms to refer to any attendees.

We encourage you to discuss with your partner what terms you would like to use with each other and use your chosen terminology during the class, but please be respectful and do not assume any language about any other participant in the class, and please copy the terms used by us, the instructors, to refer to ourselves.

You do not need to have genitals exposed in order to participate in this class, but most of the ties will be much more challenging and potentially impossible over clothes. Please be prepared to see exposed internal and external genitals of the instructors and potentially of other participants. Respect for each other is of the utmost importance in this space, please be very mindful of staring, even accidentally, and exercise the utmost caution regarding approaching or talking to other participants at any time during the class!

There is also no sex in this space, we welcome and encourage you to have more fun with these ties outside of class, but we are going to focus on this class as learning environment, not as a play space or a space to get off.

We recognize that the content of this class may bring some triggers to the surface more easily than other rope classes. We ask that you practice self-care before, during, and after the class. Leaving the class, temporarily or for the remainder, is always an option. We will do our best to provide a safe(r) and respectful container for this material. Please contact the instructors if you have any questions about aspects of the class at dancehalldyke@gmail.com.

PREREQUISITES

This class is appropriate for rope beginners. People tying need to be able to tie a single column tie. Tying pairs need to have agreed beforehand on the parameters of their interactions during the class: what kinds of touch are okay, set parameters for what kinds of ties you will try, discuss if there are any kind of ties that you might want to rule out, etc. Participants must bring their own rope!

MATERIALS NEEDED

VoxBody's loaner rope will *not* be available for this class. Please bring your own rope to participate. Smaller diameter rope can be useful for these kinds of ties. We will bring some brand new Paracord and yarn that you are welcome to try (and either take home with you or throw out, thank you!)

Any rope that touches genitals will be fluid bonded to those genitals, so if you and your tying partner are not fluid bonded, you will need to have separate ropes.

Some participants may want to bring a dildo or other model to practice tying on, especially if you would like to learn a tie on a type of genitalia that you do not have access to during the class.

We the instructors will not be touching anyone or anyone's rope during the class. You must Cavicide down your entire floor area at the end of the class even if you use a towel!

Doors at 6:45pm // Class starts at 7pm // Doors locked/no late entry 7:15pm // Event ends 10pm

Tickets are available per person. If you are attending with a partner you will need two tickets. Attendees are welcome to come solo and self-tie when possible, bring a prop to tie, or observe. Observers are asked to be extra cautious and respectful of participants of the class - please focus your observations on the instructors and stay away from the tying area while attendees are tying.

If finances are a barrier for your attendance at this class, please email us at voxbody@gmail.com. We have limited scholarship spots available!

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:

Sluttyhands (he/him) and Dancehalldyke (she/her) are San Francisco Bay based rope artists. Sluttyhands has been tying for eleven years, Dancehalldyke for eight. They both primarily tie in fairly traditional Japanese styles and are heavily influenced by Barkas and Addie. Their tying together typically focuses on going to dark and vulnerable places and playing with a lot of emotions, and can range from violent and rough, to creepy and distant, and occasionally even to sincere and loving. They want to offer you new ways of exploring each other with rope, to show you concrete tools beyond patterns that allow you to relate and communicate with each other effectively.

Their classes typically include movement practices, emotional presence in scenes, and strategies for building scenes with restrictive and challenging shapes. Their style is full of emotion and power dynamics, so you’ll gain tools to create connection and energy in your scenes—regardless of your technical level.
