I’m Naughty Scotty, your executive producer for the VIBE BIPOC community within the Bonobo Network. For those who are newer to the community, VIBE stands for Versatile Inclusion & Bold Expressions — a space built by and for BIPOC folkx that embodies our collective experience, our creativity, and our joy.

I’m thrilled to announce that we’re hosting Ritual & Root, an exclusive VIBE BIPOC‑only play event at Bonobofest on Sunday, May 24th — and this one is special. It’s the first time BonoboFest has ever offered a BIPOC‑only play party, and we’re honored to bring this moment forward.

VIBE Presents: Ritual and Root - A night of BIPOC (Core) connection

Across cultures, people have gathered to resist, connect, and create joy even in uncertainty. Ritual and Root carries that spirit forward without assuming a single story or way of being. More Is More "Pitch Your Person" deepens that energy by giving BIPOC community members a chance to celebrate one another and open the door to new connections.

This gathering brings together the rhythms, traditions, and lived experiences that shape BIPOC communities—a space where resistance takes the form of connection and play.

Show up as you are, bring your whole self, and meet others doing the same.

Arrival

Before we drop into the evening, we begin by grounding the space with warm welcomes and shared presence. Guests are invited to bring an item for the Ritual and Root altar—something that represents strength, resistance, or joy in their lives. We will take a moment to breathe, settle, and arrive with intention before opening the space for deeper connection.

More Is More! BIPOC Edition!

A nonmonogany matchmaking experience rooted in BiG Compersion Energy and community care is being offered in this Bonobo-Exclusive/VibeCORE container. Folks pitch people they adore—a partner, meta, beloved, or collaborator—and help the room fall a little in love with them, too.

Each pitch highlights the person’s vibe, values, and the kinds of connection they’re excited to experience.
