Bordello of Blood: A Bloodthirsty Play Party

Picture yourself Beautiful, Sexually Divine, and Blood Thirsty as hell.

Join us for a blood themed play party at The Red Cathedral. A catholic themed dungeon where all of your blasphemy dreams can come true. Cascading colors of red and gold accompany velvet textures and lush decadence. Real antiques sources from all over the world accompany you. The sound system will be playing your favorite ambience. Each room awaits to take you to an immersive realm of eras past, and this we’ve found helps sink you deeper into sub and top space. Gorgeous scenes and vignettes will be taking place all around you.

We will be showcasing performances by:

Peter Hooke

A suspension artist based out of Oakland CA

This will be a real hook suspension

And Countess Wednesday Malfaz

Beautiful burlesque performer extraordinaire

More To Come!!! We will be adding an additional performer so stay tuned!

Let us ignite your senses with opulence and ritual, and invite you to enjoy a play party of epic proportions

Blood play is allowed at this party. However, you must bring your own sharps and demonstrate competence around this via our vetting process, prove your experience and education or please sit the blood play for this one out.

Normal play is very much permitted. Let’s get sexy!

The theme is Vampires, obviously.

At all times Red Cathedral respects indigenous sovereignty. A statement from Peter about hook suspension

“Hook suspension is a special craft that is not mine. It does not come from my blood line and I do not claim to practice Okipa ritual, Sundance, ritual acts of the Thaipusam Festival or any other original forms of its practice. I cannot express enough the significance and immensely sacred nature of the Native American and First Nations ceremonial practices as well as in India and Tamil Hindu — and those who disregard and disrespect these original teachings should have no place near its form. I have spent the better part of my learned life educating myself on its roots and have a deep and solemn respect and understanding for its history and recognize the distancing from its origins. I learned from original members of CoRE, founded by Steve Joyner who comes from Pottawattie and Mississippi Choctaw. Suspension that I practice today, and that which I was taught from members of CoRE, has molded into something different. For close to a decade I have been graced to be an eternal student in it, to hone this rare craft so it may be shared with others in a way that keeps them safe and healthy with what we as piercers have learned thanks to modern medicine and modern piercing techniques. Empowerment, strength, self-worth, inner power; these are just some of the gifts people get to cherish and take away through the act of suspending. Suspension changed my life and has changed the lives of so many people around the world—and it’s because of some of the earliest cultures in history that suspension exists. I and we must always continue to move in this while paying the deserved respects to it’s original roots.”

The Red Cathedral is a Queer and Trans centered space. For this party, all are welcome (presuming you pass our vetting process). Cis and hetero friends may join, just please remember to be respectful of the ethos of the space and what we represent, which is queer rights and safety.

This means no chasing behaviors. What are those? Well we all lust after one another. But think about whether you value the human you lust after or see them just as a fantasy for your enjoyment. The later is chasing. Don’t do that here.

All of our parties provide a delicious spread of (mostly organic) vegetarian snacks, I mean blood. Something to add fuel to your fire!

“How do I get vetted and buy tickets?”

This is a small and exclusive space.

What we are looking for: Conscientiousness, consideration, respect. References are preferable, but are not necessarily required.

What we are not looking for: Dommes/Doms of all genders who approach the space with disrespect. We want to encourage a culture where d/s is earned.

You must be sober to attend this event. We do not provide alcohol and ask that you do not bring alcohol or drugs. Those who are not sober will be asked to sit out any play. We firmly believe that being inebriated impairs your judgment and will affect your ability to properly consent. We take consent very seriously.

All attendees will be given a consent talk before admittance to the event. COVID testing is required. Please come with a negative Covid test. We have some for sale at the door.

This is a strictly shoes off space. So keep that in mind for your outfit planning.

Accessibility

There are two sets of stairs.

Wheel chairs can be carried down and attendees assisted if need be. I sense is burned unless any attendees are scent sensitive. Please let us know in advance so we can be mindful of this. Some seating will be available for those with disabilities. Just let us know what your needs are.

This space is vetted. Meaning we will be making sure you are not a homophobe or a chaser (as mentioned above!). What is a chaser? Someone who heavily fetishizes queer and trans people without any care about who they are as human beings.

No homophobia

No transphobia

No racism

No sexism

No body shaming/fat phobia

Free Palestine

No antisemitism

Respect consent

The Red Cathedral is an proudly antifascist space
