Bottoms Up: Flexibility, Mobility, and Stability

Being a “good bottom” isn’t about being bendy, it's about knowing yourself.

This workshop is a practical introduction to flexibility, mobility, and stability as they apply to bottoming for rope. We’ll unpack common myths around flexibility, explore what hypermobility actually means, and look at how joint stability plays a critical role in injury prevention.

Expect anatomy, sports science, and guided exercises you can adapt to your own body. This is about learning how your body works, not punishing it for what it isn't.

You’ll Learn:

  • The difference between flexibility, mobility, and stability
  • How rope stresses joints (and how to reduce that stress)
  • What hypermobility means in practice
  • Exercises for finding your safe ranges of motion
  • How to support longevity in your rope practice

Bottoms Up is a series of classes taught from the bottom's perspective. While they center skills for being in rope, the content applies to all rope nerds, regardless of their role(s).
