Discover how your brain influences your kink and how to play your way. Do you live with a mental health condition or identify as neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD, or otherwise)? Ever wonder how your unique wiring shapes your kink and play? Maybe you’re gifted or have a high IQ? This class is for you!
Learn about how various forms of neuroatypicality change the way our brains and body work. The world (including kink instruction and spaces) are designed for normative brains. The reality is the "normal" brain is not the most common brain. Around one in five people live with a mental health condition, about 20% are Autistic or have ADHD, 2% are gifted, and many have experienced a TBI. Some of us fall into several of these categories. Our brains and bodies simply work differently from the models most kink spaces and classes are built around.
This class explores common differences including ADD/ADHD, Autism, BDP, mood disorders, anxiety, hallucinatory issues, and gifted brains. It covers how these differences change sensory processing, communication needs, and our understanding of the world.
Participants are provided with multiple tools to help improve communication with partners. The class also discusses the complexity of on-going consent when our brains are subject to changing realities over time.
