What happens in the workshop?

  • fun icebreakers and easy movements to warm up
  • mindfulness exercises help us get in touch with the wisdom of our bodies and allow space to not feel rushed
  • guided exercises to practice asking for what we would like, receiving other’s boundaries graciously, and feeling comfortable saying yes or no to requests in a low-stakes setting
  • facilitated rounds and demonstrations allow us to practice at our own pace and work in small groups, all while tuning into ourselves and listening to our instincts.
  • open time to ask for hugs, platonic cuddling, conversations, games, or simply be present in the healing energy of the space

Do I have to participate in all the activities?

Nope! No touch is required. You NEVER have to do anything you are not comfortable with. All exercises are up to you: there will be options, and you decide how and if you would like to participate. Your “no” will be celebrated as a way you are taking care of yourself.

Why should I attend?

Through these activities and communication exercises, you may experience an increased sense of wellbeing and belonging, a boost in compassion and playfulness, a decrease in blood pressure and even a better night's sleep.

What is the setting and the vibe?

This is a G-rated, platonic event. Clothes stay on at all times (at minimum of shorts and a tank top).

All must arrive and remain sober throughout the event. You may find yourself getting a natural high on oxytocin - often called the "hug hormone."

Snacks & water will be provided. Please bring a water bottle and anything that would help you feel comfortable.

Many participants wear comfy clothing such as pajamas or sweats.

Please freshen up before arriving, and avoid scented products and perfume/cologne.

Held in a beautiful, comfortable space with pillows and soft places to sit (floor seating and some chairs). The workshop space is located on the ground level. There is 1 step between the lobby and the workshop room. A side entrance with no steps is available. The doorways to the restrooms and between rooms are not sized for mobility devices. No scented products will be used in the workshop space, but there may be such products in the restrooms. There may be service animals (dog) in the space. Music will be played, and will be paused when the facilitator is speaking. The capacity of the event is 30 people.

Please Note: the doors will close 15 minutes after the start time. This ensures that everyone will be on the same page with the event guidelines. Please allow yourself extra travel time so that you can arrive on time.

If you’re registering less than 24 hours in advance, text Soul Vision Healing Center at 562-682-5556 to see if space is available. Once confirmed, you can purchase a ticket at the door.
