Breath is Life is an invitation to listen inward to the wisdom of your heart and connect with your inner truth. This active meditation practice is designed to promote access to deeper layers of your emotional and energetic body for self-connection and healing. Whether you’re new to breathwork or an experienced practitioner, this evening’s practice will meet you wherever you are in your journey.
The style of pranayama breathwork we will be doing is not about forcing “results” or even having a specific goal; rather, it is an opportunity to remember and allow what is already inside to surface. We’ll use the life-giving power of the breath to move stuck energy, clear old patterns, and release what is no longer in service of our lives.

Alex has been a breathworker for most of his life, starting at age 11, when he first engaged with the power of breath through his trombone. Over his twenty-three years of studying and playing music professionally, he experienced a sense of deep peace through his instrument and by using breath to create sound. However, it was his discovery of breathwork as a standalone practice that helped him open the deeper doorways to the soul and self-healing.
Alex has completed a comprehensive five-level breathwork certification training with David Elliot, world-renowned author, teacher, and healer. Today, he remains a devoted student of breathwork, and is honored to share this beautiful practice with individuals and groups. In addition to holding breathwork sessions in person and online, Alex is a passionate community builder and steward of connection. He is constantly ideating ways to foster depth through the variety of events he creates with his partner, Ariel.
