Bunny Ties & Beyond: An Introduction to Shibari
Step into the world of Shibari, where the art of rope brings connection, creativity, and trust to the forefront of your play. In this welcoming and relaxed environment, you’ll learn the foundational techniques of Shibari, including the single column tie, double column tie, and the playful bunny tie. Whether you come with a tying partner or join us solo, everyone will have the opportunity to learn and practice in a supportive space.
We'll begin with a brief exploration of the history and philosophy behind this beautiful art form, setting the stage for a deeper understanding of its significance. Then, under careful guidance, you’ll be led through each tie step-by-step, ensuring you gain both confidence and skill. After the instruction, you’ll have time to practice and refine your technique.
Rope will be available for use, though you’re encouraged to bring your own if you prefer. This class is perfect for beginners and those looking to enhance their foundational skills in Shibari.
I'm Mistress Diana d'Arc, a Los Angeles Switch with Legacy Dungeon. I started working as a kink educator, coming from a facilitation background in higher education and a private BDSM practice, in the Olympia, WA area starting in Spring 2019. COVID interrupted that and I returned to facilitating in that area in December 2022. I started working at Legacy Studios Dungeon in July 2023 after demonstrations at Bondage Ball and the dungeon itself. I like to define myself as a Creatrix, as I am an artist who works in many mediums and modalities, kink play being one of those things.
