Sensory-Centered Intimacy 101

Foundations of Pleasure-Positive Sensory Awareness

You’ve watched her break down neurodivergent intimacy for millions on TikTok, read her columns in Playboy, and heard her as the host of Sorry I Missed This and Infinite Quest—now join Cate Osborn (@Catieosaurus) live for a two-hour masterclass on sensory issues and pleasure! Over two fast-moving hours, Cate weaves clinical research with her own neurodivergent lived experience to reveal how sight, sound, touch, taste, temperature, and movement can dial desire up or shut it down. You’ll unpack why hypersensitivity feels like “skin on fire,” how Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria and time blindness might sabotage a scene before it starts and how to navigate things when the sensory "ick" takes over.

What to expect

Part TED-Talk, part group jam-session, this workshop unpacks how neurodivergencies and trauma histories shape the way our nervous systems process touch, sound, scent, temperature, and movement. We'll talk about:

  1. Hypersensitivity vs. hyposensitivity: why your partner’s gentle caress might feel like sandpaper and how to fix it.
  2. Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, decision fatigue, and time blindness: the hidden scene-killers.
  3. Consent language upgrades and perspectives: shifting from hard “limits” to expandable “comfort windows.”
  4. Low-cost dungeon hacks (plus a few pro secrets from Cate’s personal toy bag) that keep play squarely in the green zone.

You’ll leave with a Sensory Glossary and the confidence to design scenes that feel phenomenal. No prior kink or neuro-knowledge required; come solo or with your favorite playmate for this science and neurodivergency based class! Seats are limited and Cate’s events routinely sell out-grab your spot before the wait-list opens.

Hands-On Lab: Craft Your Personal Sensory Play Sheet

Ready to move from “Wow, that makes sense” to “Holy cow, that feels amazing”? Step into Cate Osborn’s interactive lab where you’ll build your own custom Sensory Play Sheet with stats like satin vs. burlap, bass drops vs. pin-drop silence, and ice cubes vs. weighted blankets.

After a quick body-scan warm-up, you’ll rotate through five fully stocked stations-Texture, Sound, Temperature/Pressure, Scent/Taste, and Movement, sampling dungeon-tested toys and everyday hacks Cate’s picked up while headlining kink conferences worldwide. Expect micro-demos, live negotiation drills, and laugh-out-loud nonsense courtesy of Cate.

By session’s end you’ll walk out with:

  1. A completed, fillable Sensory Play Sheet to share with partners.
  2. A mini Scene Recipe Bank tailored to neurodivergent nervous systems.
  3. Lifelong skills for real-time consent checks, stimuli scaling, and graceful exit ramps.

Solo attendees are welcome (observation-only options available); partners and polycules encouraged. Completion of 101 is strongly recommended so everyone speaks the same sensory language.

Cate’s hands-on intensives have been praised by Understood.org listeners and sold out at events from Dragon Con to Frolicon and KinkyCollege—they will fill quickly.
