About Class: Resonance
Mihyun Lee facilitates contact improvisation class by utilizing Laban/Bartenieff movement analysis. Class format includes individual exercise, small group exploration, observation, and discussion. Class aims to promote experience of “resonance” by moving and observing others. Class starts at 7pm and ends at 8pm.
About Mihyun Lee:
Mihyun Lee studied Korean Dance, Counseling Psychology, and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. For about 30 years of practicing dance professionally shaped her understanding of the primal nature of the body and its expression.
Under the theme of Polarity and Integration, she supports people to integrate various lived experiences through polarities such as past and future, implicit memory and explicit memory, felt sense and logical sense, etc.
As a Somatic Movement Therapist, she serves individuals, couples, and groups both in San Francisco and Seoul, South Korea. As a Mental Health Clinician, she serves 0-5 years old clients with their families at an organization in Alameda County.

The jam offers an inclusive environment that is warm, friendly and very welcoming of folks new to Contact Improv. There is a varied soundscape with a mix of silence, DJ’ed tracks, and improvised live music.
