Content Creator’s Workshop: Create Images with Your Smartphone and the Power of Community

I’m doing a special offering where I teach YOU how to take photos with your smartphone. No experience? No worries. No professional camera? No worries. In fact, this workshop is designed for your smartphone.

I begin as I begin with all of my couple and individual photoshoots: by visioning with you. There is an optional Zoom meeting a week before the in-person (Oakland) event.

Then, the photoshoot itself. We’ll meet at Alchemy House in Oakland, using their gorgeous temple and garden spaces. I’ll talk about how to best optimize your phone lens, angles to play with, and poses that I’ve known to work well. You’ll work in pairs and trios to photograph each other.

I’ve designed simple exercises that emphasize the word PLAY. At its height, I truly believe photography is an act of play.

I know many of you are workshop facilitators. Because of that, towards the end, we’ll set up some scenes where you can “facilitate” a class and get images of you in action.

We’ll meet on Sunday May 18 5:30 - 8:30pm. The zoom meeting is Sunday May 11 7-8pm, totally optional, and recorded. The class will not be recorded. It’s an in-person experience.
