Courageous Conversations: A Community Story-Sharing Series Exploring Relationship Endings & Beginnings in Non-Monogamy & Polyamory

Join Us for the Final 2024 Edition of our Monthly Courageous Conversations Event Series

Courageous Conversations is our monthly in-person community storytelling gathering, held in Oakland, CA. Hosted by somatic relationship coach Aria Diana in partnership with Plura, we delve into the intricate emotions and experiences surrounding non-monogamy and polyamory through the powerful medium of storytelling. This inclusive event provides a brave community space for individuals to share their personal journeys, challenges, and triumphs in navigating love beyond the boundaries of monogamy.

Each month, we focus on a specific theme such as communication, compersion, jealousy, relationship dynamics, and more. Whether you're new to non-monogamy, experienced in polyamory, or simply curious, Courageous Conversations offers a supportive environment for learning, listening, and connecting with others who are exploring similar non-normative relationship paths.

December's Theme: Exploring Relationship Endings and Beginnings

As the final month of the year, we’re focusing on relationship endings & beginnings, exploring relationship transitions and what they teach us about ourselves and how they clear (challenging but necessary) space for newer, more aligned connections in the future.

Bring a story to share about a time when you went through a de-escalation or ending of a relationship—why the transition happened and the gifts you gained from that relationship that helped you get clearer on what matters most to you moving forward. Whether it’s the lessons you learned, the strength you discovered, or the clarity you gained about your needs and desires, we’ll reflect together on how endings can serve as catalysts for personal growth and relational transformation.

This is also a space to share stories of beginnings—new connections that have sparked joy, challenged old patterns, or expanded your understanding of love. How do we approach new relationships with intention, balancing the excitement of discovery with the wisdom gained from past experiences?

Come join us to find belonging as we move deeper into hibernation season, gathering for an evening of storytelling and connection to close out the year with a heartfelt exploration of the cycles of love, loss, and renewal.
