Courageous Conversations is our every other month in-person community storytelling gathering, held in Oakland, CA. Hosted by somatic relationship coach Aria Diana in partnership with Plura, this unique event dives deep into the intricate emotions, challenges, and joys of non-monogamy and polyamory through the transformative power of storytelling. Together, we create a brave and inclusive space for sharing personal journeys that illuminate love beyond the boundaries of monogamy.

Whether you're new to non-monogamy, experienced in polyamory, or simply curious, Courageous Conversations invites you to listen, learn, and connect with others navigating similar non-traditional relationship paths.

April's Theme: New Relationship Energy

Spring is in the air, and with it comes the intoxicating buzz of New Relationship Energy! This month, we invite you to share your stories about the exhilarating, all-consuming rush of a new connection. Have you ever lost your balance in the whirlwind of NRE? Struggled to stay grounded while navigating the high of fresh attraction? Perhaps you’ve found ways to channel that excitement without letting it disrupt existing relationships or agreements. Whether it’s a lesson learned, a challenge faced, or a strategy that’s helped you stay centered, bring your experiences to the conversation as we explore the joys, pitfalls, and complexities of NRE together.

Whether your journey has been joyful, challenging, or a mix of both, your story could inspire and deepen the understanding of others in the room.

Event Flow:

1. 7:30-7:45 PM: Arrivals: Please arrive early to settle in before the 8:00 PM circle begins. Doors close at 8pm & there will be no admission after that!
2. 8:00-8:20 PM: Opening Circle: Welcome and introductions to set the intentions and agreements for the evening.
3. 8:20-10:00 PM: Story Sharing: Engage in deep, meaningful conversations through our structured storytelling process using the Narrative 4 Story Exchange model.
4. 10:00-10:30 PM: Closing Circle & Goodbyes: Reflect on the evening’s discussions and connect with fellow participants.
