Calling all creatures and creature-makers!
Join hosts Lief & Blue and photographer HotRubbishFilm for this skill share and photo jam focused on the delight of using rope and other tools to draw out the CREATURE that lurks inside.
This will be part skill share and part open practice / play time with a photographer on-hand to capture all your creations.
Doors open 1:45pm
Event starts at 2pm. We will get started with prompts to get our gears turning, and spend the first hour brainstorming and skill sharing. No photography from 2-3pm. Lief and Blue will facilitate the skill share and will both have specific offerings during this time.
Doors closed / no late entry 2:15pm.
Photography and Open Play 3-5pm. HotRubbishFilm will be capturing our creature moments.
** Please note: attending this event means you consent to be in photos, whether that is of your own scenes or in the background of others' photos. VoxBody has masks on hand if you want to obscure your face. **
Bring whatever supplies you want to play with! Rope, vet wrap, fabric, bamboo, doll parts, hoods, costumes, latex, leather......Keep in mind that the tying area is shoe free. Attendees can opt to utilize anywhere in the studio they prefer (did someone say creature in the closet??) Only verified suspension points can be used for uplines. We expect that all attendees will explore and play responsibly, within their skillset and with respect for the studio and other attendees.
All attendees will receive access to a folder of edited images approximately 2 weeks after the event.
** Consent and self-care disclaimer: if creature-making is embedded in a dynamic for you, touches upon play like objectification, or can become intense or edgy for you or your partner, please be sure to discuss ahead of time what you both need in place to enjoy the event and take care of yourself and each other. We expect the last two hours will be busy throughout the studio and that there may be creature-sounds coming from all corners. We will reserve some 'quiet' space in the studio for you to use if you need a breather, or you can step outside (just be sure to notify a Vox liaison so we can get you back inside).
We are SO excited to see what everyone comes up with!!
If finances are a barrier for you attending this event, please email us at voxbody@gmail.com. We have limited scholarship spots available!

About the hosts and photographer:
BLUE (she/her): Blue has been teaching and performing rope bondage since 2012. In June 2017, she opened VoxBody Studio, the Bay Area's first rope-dedicated venue. Blue is part of an active rope community in the Bay Area, teaching classes and hosting events regularly and performing at events such as Folsom Street Fair, Twisted Windows and Vau de Vire Society productions. She has also presented on ShibariStudy, at RopeCraft, Bondage Expo Dallas, Desert Bound and Karada House’s QueerRope event. Blue is an enthusiastic sWitch, believes bondage education should address both sides of the rope, and is so proud of the Vox-community. Find her on IG @miss_true_blue.
LIEF BOUND (He/They): Lief Bound is a full time internationally renowned rope artist and educator based in San Francisco, California. He started his rope journey in 2013 attending rope conventions and monthly skill shares. In the beginning, Lief found it hard as a queer fem rope top to be taken seriously and be respected in a classroom setting. This motivated him to become an educator so hopefully folks could feel more welcome when learning rope bondage from him.
Since moving to the west coast and coming out as trans masc, he has grown to become a part of the local community creating spaces where other queer and trans folks can learn and grow in their own rope journeys. He created ties that are designed to be more inclusive, sustainable and expansive of the traditional rope bondage he learned at the start of his journey.
Lief has taught at rope conventions and rope studios all around the world and hopes to come to your city some day. He feels honored to bring more queer and trans representation to the rope world. Lief is available for group classes, privates, private sessions, and photoshoots. Email to book!
