Cuddle Party

Cuddle party is a workshop in learning boundaries and consent with platonic clothes on cuddling. The creation of a safe gender neutral nurturing container to explore using your voice and asking for what you want. Come celebrate with me the completion of my certification!

ETIQUETTE

• Arrive on time: once we begin the Welcome Circle Cuddle orientation, the doors will close and no one else will be admitted. This creates comfort and accountability by ensuring that everyone has heard the rules and expectations and has agreed to them.
• What to wear: Comfy G rated clothes.  What to bring: Just you and any munchies you want to snack on and water in a closed container. 
• Scents can make small spaces feel even smaller. Please refrain from wearing fragrances, or other strong scents (soaps, powders). 

EVENT ITINERARY

Sunday May 19, 2024. 10:00am - 2:00pm (please arrive no later than 10:15am for safe space creation.)

• 10:00-10:15 meet and Greet - Cuddlers arrive, check in and get comfy.
• 10:15-11:15 Welcome Circle/Initial Ice Breakers - You must be present through the entire welcome circle to participate.

11:15-1:45Transition Exercises to Open Cuddle Time - Freestyle consent aware cuddling or socializing.

• 1:45-2:00 pm closing Circle - Coming together for gratitudes, closure, and goodbyes.

CLASSIC CUDDLE PARTY® RULES

1. [Clothes] stay on the whole time
2. You don't have to touch anyone at a Cuddle Party® ever.
3. You must ask permission and receive a verbal YES before you touch anyone.
4. If you are a yes, say YES. If you are a no, say NO.
5. If you are a maybe, say NO,
6. You are encouraged to change your mind.
7. Respect your relationship agreements and communicate with your partner.
8. Get a facilitator if you have a question, concern, or need assistance.
9. Tears and laughter are both welcome.
10. Respect people's privacy when sharing about Cuddle Party® [style events.]
11. Keep the cuddle space tidy.

Cuddle Party® is … a workshop!

Though touch is natural, the skills that make it welcome and enjoyable should be learned. The skills of communication, boundary setting, asking for what you want, and saying ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ with clarity and kindness are practiced.

Cuddle Party® is led by trained and certified Cuddle Party® Facilitators. The Facilitator’s job is to guide you into those skills gently and easily, in a fun, safe and light hearted way. We welcome you and create an atmosphere of respect, and remain available for questions and support.
