Down From Dore: A Kink Extravaganza!

Join us for an unforgettable night at Down From Dore: A Kink Extravaganza! Happening on the same day as the Up Your Alley festival. Our venue is just a block away from Dore Alley, making it the perfect place to keep the adventure going.

Stopgap is the newest and oldest kink venue in San Francisco! While a new kink venue in its current iteration, the building itself has a rich history in the kink community as one of the prior locations of the SF Citadel. The first floor has lockers (bring your own lock or purchase one at the front desk for $10), social areas, and play spaces. Descend into the 3100 square foot basement to play on equipment that many in the community may have enjoyed in years gone by plus some newer pieces from our collection. There will be crosses, benches, tables, bondage chairs, cages, hardpoints, and much more! Much of the equipment was recovered from the Citadel's lost storage unit early in 2024 with additional pieces from AfterDark.

Stopgap offers free lockers, social areas, a cuddle room, a fuck room, and various BDSM equipment. Safety and hygiene supplies, comfy mattresses, fresh sheets, water, and more are provided. Shower kits, locks, soft drinks, and snacks are available for purchase. Stopgap elevates kink experiences for event guests and offers turnkey solutions for organizers and content producers.

Accessibility Notes

The entrance to the space is on the ground floor and includes lockers (bring your own lock or purchase one at the front desk for $10), social area, and two bathrooms. The basement of the venue can only be reached via stairs. There will be music playing throughout the event, and ear plugs are available for free at the front desk. There are colored lights in use throughout the venue, including rotating “party lights” for ambiance. Cell phones are prohibited from being used in the venue and must be stored; however, you may speak to a host about reasonable accommodations if needed for things such as continuous glucose monitoring. Please talk to the host about accessibility accommodations.

COVID-19

We are not requiring a same-day rapid test nor proof of vaccination for this evening. If you are having symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or other infectious diseases please stay home and do not come to the space until you are better.
