True potential of the human body can be discovered through experiencing. Dance is an expression of life and the art of it all is Feeling. It is through feeling that our dance becomes alive and true. When we feel, we heal. We are Alchemists of our life energy and can transmute stuck, heavy, low vibrational frequencies into aligned creative power.
This class will guide you with intention, through a journey into accessing more energy and possibilities for freedom of authentic expression. We begin with releasing static kinetic energy through somatic release techniques along with the power of the breath and sound. As we create more space within and access an abundant flow of life force we then play with elements of dance: body, action, time, space and energy as tools to tell a non verbal story. We will explore the use of gravity and momentum to facilitate efficient and safe movement as well as inner and interpersonal relating dynamics allowing us to witness ourselves and each other from our hearts where our true vision emerges from. We will allow our bodies' intelligence to guide us along the way into a joyous co creation together.
Satya is a ceremonialist, dancer and teacher of Sacred Arts. She has studied and guided transformational practices for 25 yrs, weaving elements of Yogic and Martial Arts, Dance and Somatic Movement along with Shamanic Sound, Breath &Â Visioning as an invitation to explore the inner landscape, alchemize and embody authentic expression.

Ecstatic Dance Agreements
1. Bare your feet (take off your shoes). Give respect to the floor and the space.
2. Speak with your body. Keep conversations off the dance floor. Explore non-verbal expression. Sound is welcome as part of the dance.
3. Respect everyone's body autonomy, including yourself. Witness a yes before touching someone (this is a non-verbal space). Be clear in your yes and no when offered touch. Approach from the front with integrity (and maybe some playfulness).
4. Be fully present. Leave your phones in your bag or by your water. Refrain from photos or videos in the space ~ so we can get weird as the moment calls.
5. Come sober, unaltered by substances. This is a drug and alcohol-free space. We dance together to pursue that emotional high.
Dance by yourself or with others. Work out emotion through dance surrounded by community. Dance with someone new. Continue to develop your dance expression with a long time dance partner or partners. There are many ways to be in this space with community.
