Brian Kadmiri (aka Medicine Music) is one of the founders of the legendary Remedy SF events, which made him a deeply influential force in the San Francisco house music and electronic music scene from the 90's to 2015 — producing transformational events for over two decades and DJing for 15 years. His journey began in 1990, during the rise of rave culture. For Brian, the pulsing rhythms of electronic music weren’t just sounds — they were soul awakening. The foundational values of the movement — Which is Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect — struck a profound chord in his heart and spirit. From that moment on, he devoted his life to music, community, and co-creating spaces that uplift consciousness.
Following a successful chapter in the nightlife world and a series of life-changing spiritual awakenings, Brian felt a higher calling. Guided by deep inner shifts, he answered the call to relocate to the mystical Mount Shasta — known as the root chakra of the planet — where he began exploring the healing power of music and dance in new ways. This shift led him into the heart of Conscious Music Festivals, Ecstatic Dance, and spiritually-driven sound experiences. Since then, Brian has founded OM Garden, a beloved monthly sacred dance event, where he serves as resident DJ and curator. He also became a co-facilitator of Mount Shasta’s Ecstatic Dance for many years. Brian continues to travel across the globe, sharing his signature sound alongside visionary artists, musicians, and producers.
“If I had to describe my sound, it moves through the mystical and ambient, into galactic, etheric, tribal and psychedelic spaces. It flows from deep, organic, progressive tribal house to Meso-American Medicine Music, To Global Bass Music, World Music like Middle Eastern, East Indian, African, Brazilian, Latin Electronica, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, Trap, Reggae, and Dubstep. There are so many sacred frequencies I resonate with and therefore I’ve never felt the need to limit myself. I see all of it as healing Medicine Music.”
Brian shares that this upcoming event in San Jose holds deep personal significance for him. It was in San Jose that he first stepped into event production—long before his rise and success in San Francisco as an events producer and DJ.
He reflects that without the early experiences and events he helped bring to life at venues like The Oasis, The Agenda Lounge, Echo, formerly Hamburger Mary’s, and The Forum in Sunnyvale, he may never have reached the level he has today. For Brian, San Jose represents the roots of his journey, and it remains a place that will always hold a special place in his heart.
