Embodied movement + photography experience

When's the last time you completely forgot the camera was there? The last time you didn't think about posing, checking angles, performing... or even thinking about how you are perceived?

When's the last time you just dropped all the way into your body and gave yourself permission to feel good? And then move from that place?

That's what happens when someone is guided back into their body—actually in it, not just managing it—and then Mercy (IG @mx.wolfe) points their camera at them. (Mercy is one of the most gifted movement photographers in the dance world.)

That's what I'm building room for on May 10th.

This isn't just a photoshoot or embodied movement on its own. It's connection, sisterhood, nourishment, and radical self-expression.

As femme folks, we don't often have photographs of ourselves that capture who we actually are in our uninhibited body—not posing, performing, looking at the camera, or even aware of holding space. Just the sensual, raw, fully alive version of us. And I think it's a gift to feel—and then physically see—evidence of that.

The plan: Five femme folks. An embodiment practice to drop in, and then each person gets to dance to 2-3 songs while Mercy photographs them. And in between, cheering each other's movement on—celebrating each other's depth, sensuality, and rawness.

Being in a space with women doing the same thing while celebrating each other creates the most incredible permission field for letting go of shame around our sensuality and not having to “be” anything other than yourself.

What you leave with: permission to take up space through movement and dance. Permission to see and feel our truest selves. 30+ photos of yourself in your full rawness and authenticity.

I've held this before. I know what happens in that room. It's not only special for each person to have embodied camera time—it was incredible to be witnessed and celebrated in our joy and sensuality and genuine pleasure. And I am offering this again because I want more women to know what it feels like to be seen this way—not captured, but witnessed. It's permission. It's nourishment. It's magic.

Treat yourself this Mother's day 😉
