Unfortunately we are postponing the camping trip due to forecasted strong winds. Stay tuned for a new date!
Come camp with us under the stars in the middle of the Mojave desert! If you’ve ever wanted to explore the wide open beauty of the desert, come out and hang out with us around the campfire and trade stories, play games, eat ice cream and more!
The primitive campsite will be very remote, yet very easy to access with even a small 2wd passenger car via a flat smooth dirt road.
There will be a simple camping-style portable toilet but again- the area is primitive- yet safe.
The camp area is east of California City, a couple miles south of Twenty Mule Team Road.
From hwy 14:
In Google Maps or Apple Maps, navigate to BORAX BILL’S PARK in California City. From Borax Bill’s, continue 6 more miles on Twenty Mule Team Road (paved) until BUCKNELL ROAD (a dirt road) then make a right (south) and follow the signs we’ll have up.
From hwy 395:
From intersection of 395&58, drive north on 395 for approx 18 miles make a left on CUDDEBACK RD. Drive (west) about 8 miles and make a left (south) on BUCKNELL ROAD. Then follow the signs that we’ll have up.
(Be aware that about a mile after you turn onto CUDDEBACK RD, it turns into TWENTY MULE TEAM ROAD)
More info in the event’s chat. Feel free to ask questions there.
