Six days of embodied erotic practice in the red mountains of New Mexico, on the ancestral lands of the Towa-speaking people of the Pueblo of Jemez. Hosted by Body Electric School at Bodhi Manda Zen Center, with three soaking pools, a flowing river, and consciously prepared meals.
This retreat is for women+ of all sexual orientations, including nonbinary, intersex, two-spirit, and trans folks. Past retreats have welcomed folks in their 20s through 70s, across body sizes, races, and stages of erotic experience. It is clothing-optional and may include sexual touch. Everything is consent-forward. You choose what feels right for you, every step of the way.
The week includes:
This week is an invitation to come back to your body. To be touched with care. To be in community with women+ who understand pleasure as a practice of belonging to ourselves.
As Audre Lorde wrote: "When I speak of the erotic, then, I speak of it as an assertion of the lifeforce of women."
Facilitators:
Suzanne "Frankie" Blackburn (she/they) — Queer pleasure activist with 25+ years inside Body Electric as facilitator, coordinator, and former board chair. Author of Reclaiming Eros: Sacred Whores and Healers. Her work is dedicated to reuniting the erotic and the sacred.
Lizz Randall (she/they) — Sacred Intimate, Body Electric teacher since 2006, longtime tantra practitioner. Co-leads Body Electric's Sacred Intimacy Training and Exploring Tantra workshops. Brings a grounded, heart-centered approach committed to the liberation of all bodies.
I'm part of the support team for the week.
