Evelyn is the moniker of songwriter Dani Lencioni, a California native now living in New York's Hudson Valley. Blending indie rock, Americana, and alt-pop into inventive, soulful compositions, Evelyn's musical world is emotionally charged, introspective, and honest. Evelyn’s first full-length album, Someday We Will Eat a Feast of Light, is set for release July 26, 2024. The album’s nine songs, which range from propulsive to patient, reflect an experience of modern life as abstract and occasionally devastating as it is beautiful and full of hope. Produced by Lencioni with additional production by Nick Kinsey (Kevin Morby, Waxahatchee, Cassandra Jenkins, Palehound), Andrew Sheron (Lau Noah, Arthur Moon), and Molly Murphy (a million creatures), Someday We Will Eat A Feast of Light, was recorded over ten months in 2023 at Sheron's Conveyor Studios in Brooklyn and Kinsey's Chicken Shack Recording in the Hudson Valley. With Lencioni’s versatile, emotive voice at the forefront, the album reflects a diverse sonic and emotional palette. At its core, Someday We Will Eat A Feast of Light echoes a belief that the act of being in connection with other people—while never easy—is a constant revelation that just might save us all. The LP follows a full band EP, Slowly (2018), and a single, Winter (2020).
