Finding Your Place: Neurodivergency in Kink

Class Description:

Did you know that 15-20 percent of the world’s population exhibits some form of neurodivergence? That means that you or someone you play with may benefit from this class in ways you never thought of! It is a broad spectrum and incorporates so many different types of classifications of people. The crossover of folks who are neurodivergent and kinky is almost unbelievable. Within this workshop we’ll explore how to better understand your neurodivergent partner as well as how neurodivergence can affect play. Maybe you have anxious feelings regarding being on this spectrum, but don’t worry because we’re here to help!

Some other points of discussion will include:

  • What does being neurodivergent mean exactly?
  • Differences and considerations to be made for someone who is ND such as someone who has ADHD or is on the autism spectrum
  • Why are neurodiverse folks drawn to BDSM?
  • Ways to help center someone who may be triggered
  • What communicating and navigating conversations about play look like for ND people

Regardless of gender identity, sexuality, relationship status, experience level, age, or race, all are welcome to join this class.
