Class Description

Wanting to take the next step of being in the scene and planning to host a kinky event, but struggling with knowing where to begin? Have you been running an event and become frustrated in finding it’s not working out the way you wanted? Come to Host with the Most for ideas and solutions! This class will provide you with answers to either begin your event hosting journey or help give ideas to enhance the events you’re already hosting. We’ll cover a variety of event types with what to look out for, what to avoid, and what’s worked.

Presenter Bio

John Smile has been in the scene since 2014, starting as a rope bondage top in the San Francisco area. John has attended a few hundred kink related classes in the past 11 years and attended various kink and Leather conventions where they also volunteered at. In 2018 John graduated from the 301 Leather education system called Leather Quest with class Firestorm. John also completed that year The Wanted Man Weekend Intensive from Marcia B and Midori. John then went on to become the Drillmaster for the 2020 Leather Quest class, Crucible, and then the Seargent Major for The Journey 2023 class. During pre-Covid times, John created and ran a party and kink workshop called Sharpen Up which focused on further developing kink skills for attendees. John is currently one of the hosts for KPOC, Kinky People of Color, which run a monthly munch/happy hour, a monthly rope jam called House of Braids, and an Impact Jam called Beat Down.

The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us. While in class you will be expected to abide by all requirements listed below as well as any told to you by Foundations staff. Foundations will do everything in our power to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 exposure, however it is the sole responsibility of every individual attending to protect themselves from potential infection.

Requirements to Attend:

- Must fill out a waiver.

- Any physical contact must be negotiated and consented to by each individual.

- Must be 18 or older (as always).

- Must show photo ID at entrance.

- Must promptly follow all instruction given by Foundations staff.

Notes to Consider:

- If you are ill, or have symptoms indicative of COVID-19, please stay home—those who are ill with COVID-19 symptoms will not be admitted.

Class Details:

- Class is from 7pm-9pm.

- Doors open at 6:30, class starts promptly at 7:00.

- Doors are closed to entry at 7:00 when class starts.

- Please arrive at 6:30 for admittance if you are new.

The suggested donation is $20. Donations accepted by cash or credit card. No one turned away for lack of funds.

There will be a munch afterwards at Extreme Pizza at 1062 Folsom Street.
