Class Description

This question draws our attention to the galaxy of relationships dynamics: Physical: Top/bottom. Sensual: Sadist/masochist. Psychological: Dominant/submissive. Identity: Owner/property. Spiritual: Master/consort. Devotion: Keeper/keepsake. Obedience: Leader/follower. And so many more. Each star in this galaxy lights an essence: devotion, service, loyalty, obedience, sensuality, and so on. To please Master, I must get the essences at work, how delightful to consider. And, to multiply the pleasure, add a less often heard question: how can I please the one in service to me? Older leather relationships often combine and stack essences in perhaps surprising ways: the Master who selects the meal for both, yet is driven around and has their vacations planned, yet is sometimes Dominant, but prefers to bottom and is a masochist and perhaps a keepsake. What feeds the one you wish to pliease: Devotion? Authority? Obedience? Ritual? Eroticism? Usefulness? That answers how to please. In traditional fantasy, the right of slash wakes up in the morning with the ambition to serve. The truth is deeper: everyone who relates in a safe and healthy way wakes up in the morning wondering how they can best serve. The Top, Masochist, Dominant, Master, Keeper, Leader, all seek to serve… strive to please, support, grow, and benefit the other. And yes, Masters are thirsty people. I like my water with ice cubes. :-)

Presenter Bio

Bent from birth, SG found his way into the leather faerie community in the 80's, where he was swept away by the spirituality. A decade later, he discovered the gay leather community, broadening and deepening his appreciation for our practices, sacred and profane. SG was asked to teach during the epidemic when the old system of mentorship was collapsing, so classes emerged. He remains happy to teach and mentor. He graduated from the Journeyman 3 Academy, and later became its headmaster. He has also been facilitating weekly groups on intimacy in authority-exchange relationships for more than a decade. The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us. While in class you will be expected to abide by all requirements listed below as well as any told to you by Foundations staff. Foundations will do everything in our power to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 exposure, however it is the sole responsibility of every individual attending to protect themselves from potential infection.

Requirements to Attend:

- Must fill out a waiver.

- Any physical contact must be negotiated and consented to by each individual.

- Must be 18 or older (as always).

- Must show photo ID at entrance.

- Must promptly follow all instruction given by Foundations staff.

Notes to Consider:

- Surfaces will be sanitized before and after each class.

- If you are ill, or have symptoms indicative of COVID-19, please stay home—those who are ill with COVID-19 symptoms will not be admitted.

Class Details:

- Class is from 7pm-9pm.

- Doors open at 6:30, class starts promptly at 7:00.

- Doors are closed to entry at 7:00 when class starts.

- Please arrive at 6:30 for admittance if you are new.

The suggested donation is $20. Donations accepted by cash or credit card. No one turned away for lack of funds.
