Class Description

Are you in the early stages of your Master/slave relationship, or interested in the possibilities? This class will help you decide if M/s for you, and give you some guidelines about how to begin. We’ll discuss myths & stereotypes of M/s, how you get started; wants and needs; contracts, collars, and protocols; enforcement and correction; maintaining and supporting the dynamic; and where you go from here. Please share your experiences as we share ours.

Presenter Bios

MARILYN

Marilyn, Northwest Master 2023, has been in the Leather community since 1986. She is a sadist and a control freak with an intense blood lust. She is a fat femme top who likes to play hard, and has a special affection for slut masochists.

Marilyn has judged and tallied at numerous contests, and has presented at Black Rose, Leather Traditions, Northwest Leather Celebration, Southeast Leatherfest, Southwest Leather, International Ms. Leather, Sin in the City, Leather Leadership Conference, Leather Levi Weekend, Dark Odyssey: Surrender, Foundations, Butch Voices, the Exiles, and more. Her home club is the Exiles of San Francisco, where she spent many years as an officer. She is active in MAsT San Francisco, where she is the Director. She is a member of Mama’s Family, as "Mama’s Fierce Femme".

Marilyn is happily polyamorous, including her collared slave of 10 years Rio, NW slave 2023. She is also a computer professional with two adult transgender children and is active at her local synagogue.

RIO

Rio is a butch leather dyke who, together with her Mistress Marilyn, served as Northwest Master and slave 2023. She is a slave, a masochist, a knife enthusiast, a hopeless romantic obsessed with service, and currently serves as Secretary of the San Francisco Bay Area Leather Alliance.

Rio has taught, judged, and performed at events both locally and around the country. She has presented at the Leather Leadership Conference, Folsom Street Fair, NWLC, SELF, the SW Master/slave contest, and leather community events in Sacramento, Portland, Albuquerque, Boise, Missoula, and Laramie.

In her non-kink life, Rio is a published author, and an award-winning painter. She has been clean and sober for over 30 years. Rio has never met a newcomer she didn’t like, and believes in honor, integrity, and flirtation.

The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us. While in class you will be expected to abide by all requirements listed below as well as any told to you by Foundations staff. Foundations will do everything in our power to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 exposure, however it is the sole responsibility of every individual attending to protect themselves from potential infection.

Requirements to Attend:

- Must fill out a waiver.

- Any physical contact must be negotiated and consented to by each individual.

- Must be 18 or older (as always).

- Must show photo ID at entrance.

- Must promptly follow all instruction given by Foundations staff.

Notes to Consider:

- Surfaces will be sanitized before and after each class.

- If you are ill, or have symptoms indicative of COVID-19, please stay home—those who are ill with COVID-19 symptoms will not be admitted.

Class Details:

- Class is from 7pm-9pm.

- Doors open at 6:30, class starts promptly at 7:00.

- Doors are closed to entry at 7:00 when class starts.

- Please arrive at 6:30 for admittance if you are new.

The suggested donation is $20. Donations accepted by cash or credit card. No one turned away for lack of funds.

There will be a munch afterwards at Extreme Pizza at 1062 Folsom Street.
