Class Description

If you ask yourself, “What on Earth do I wear to this play party?” or, “I have some idea but DANG I wish I could do something a little different!” then this class is for you! We’ll cover some of the social conventions around clothing, such as what wearing certain accessories might mean, so that you can know how others might interpret your clothing choices. The latter part will be more of a group discussion of figuring out what makes YOU feel sexy! Confident! Amazing! And striking a balance of what makes you feel GREAT, communicating who you are and what you want, while taking into account how the BDSM community might interpret your clothing choices. The goal is that you will walk away feeling inspired to get creative with your self- expression, so you can have fun, be authentic and feel amazing doing it!

Presenter Bio

Universe (they/ them) has been haunting the SF BDSM and Leather communities since 2015ish. They’re a graduate of Venture 2024 and have taught for Foundations, covering topics on mental health and supporting trans kinksters. Universe always seeks to be ALL of the colors and has a rule that only on very special occasions will they wear all black. Universe loves fashion and helping other people find clothes that make them feel amazing, especially for queer and trans folks. Universe has been seen at play parties wearing anything from glittery unicorn underwear to a grandpa sweater and fishnets. They hope to inspire everyone to get creative!

The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us. While in class you will be expected to abide by all requirements listed below as well as any told to you by Foundations staff. Foundations will do everything in our power to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 exposure, however it is the sole responsibility of every individual attending to protect themselves from potential infection.

Requirements to Attend:

- Must fill out a waiver.

- Any physical contact must be negotiated and consented to by each individual.

- Must be 18 or older (as always).

- Must show photo ID at entrance.

- Must promptly follow all instruction given by Foundations staff.

Notes to Consider:

- Surfaces will be sanitized before and after each class.

- If you are ill, or have symptoms indicative of COVID-19, please stay home—those who are ill with COVID-19 symptoms will not be admitted.

Class Details:

- Class is from 7pm-9pm.

- Doors open at 6:30, class starts promptly at 7:00.

- Doors are closed to entry at 7:00 when class starts.

- Please arrive at 6:30 for admittance if you are new.

The suggested donation is $20. Donations accepted by cash or credit card. No one turned away for lack of funds.

There will be a munch afterwards at Extreme Pizza at 1062 Folsom Street.
