Class Description

Whether you're brand new to the scene or have been around long enough to remember when things were very different — this one's for you.

Join us for an open roundtable discussion where every voice at the table matters. No slides, no lecture, just real conversation among people who love this community.

We'll be exploring two questions:

🗣 "Looking back, what is something you wish you knew when you first entered the scene?"

🗣 "How has the scene changed since you got involved — for better or worse?"

These are the kinds of conversations that don't happen enough. Newcomers get to hear hard-won wisdom straight from the source, and old-timers get to reflect on a journey worth celebrating. Come ready to listen, share, and connect.

As always, Foundations is a welcoming space for all experience levels. Come as you are.

#### About Your Facilitator

Headmaster Jeff found his way to Foundations in early 2024, quickly establishing himself as a dedicated student of the craft and community. By the end of 2024 he had earned his graduation from Venture ( 201 ), and in 2025 stepped into his current role as Headmaster of Foundations — bringing the same curiosity and commitment to others that shaped his own journey.

He believes the best learning happens in conversation, and is looking forward to holding space for exactly that

**The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to us. While in class you will be expected to abide by all requirements listed below as well as any told to you by Foundations staff. Foundations will do everything in our power to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 exposure, however it is the sole responsibility of every individual attending to protect themselves from potential infection.**

Requirements to Attend:

- Must fill out a waiver.

- Any physical contact must be negotiated and consented to by each individual.

- Must be 18 or older (as always).

- Must show photo ID at entrance.

- Must promptly follow all instruction given by Foundations staff.

Notes to Consider:

- If you are ill, or have symptoms indicative of COVID-19, please stay home—those who are ill with COVID-19 symptoms will not be admitted.

Class Details:

- Class is from 7pm-9pm.

- Doors open at 6:30, class starts promptly at 7:00.

- Doors are closed to entry at 7:00 when class starts.

- Please arrive at 6:30 for admittance if you are new.

The suggested donation is $20. Donations accepted by cash or credit card. No one turned away for lack of funds.

There will be a munch afterwards at Extreme Pizza at 1062 Folsom Street.
