🌊🫧 "DEEP-SEA MICRO SUBMERGENCE" 🌊🫧

Submerge into the watery depths as we explore a sensation-based method on approaching micro that will deepen your connection with your partner and allow the potential for magic to happen.  

* Suited for first-time micro explorers or veterans who want to pick up nuance and sophistication of skill. Partner not required.  

🌊🫧 Class 1: Dolphin Mind 🌊🫧

In this class, we are going to learn how to physically and energetically attune to the same frequency as your partner. We will be sharing our approach for creating an intelligent but flexible dance embrace that will allow you to enjoy the most subtle of movements.  

🌊🫧 Class 2: Spinal Wave 🌊🫧

Moving from the subtle undulating of the spine, we can enhance our sense of proprioception with ourselves and our partner. We will be unlocking a variety of spinal movements, while discovering which gentle ripple speaks to your partner the most.

💃🏻 About Your Hosts 💃🏻

JEANNIE LIN is a dancer who is able to effortlessly adapt, blend, articulate and draw from a myriad of different dance forms and experiences. Her early training consisted of gymnastics, ballet, and modern dance, while her later years included formal study in over 30 styles of partner dance at the Ballroom Dance Teacher's Academy where she graduated with high honors. Her evenings were spent teaching professionally at a ballroom dance studio, while her late-night adventures included clubs and bars all over the city dancing salsa, bachata, west coast swing, blues, argentine tango, and more. Now she happily resides in the worlds of fusion and argentine tango, where she weaves in her other dance styles together seamlessly, integrating concepts and creating hybrid movements with grace and fluidity. Recognized for her nuanced and effective teaching style, she's been invited to teach internationally at fusion festivals and workshops, including in Spain, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Poland, Hungary, and Canada.

A'LAN with over 20 years of experience as a dance instructor, A'lan specializes in close-embrace dance and has honed his skills in the realms of Blues, Fusion, Tango, and Micro. A celebrated figure in the national fusion scene, he frequently travels across the US to teach dance and DJ for events. A'lan's classes place a strong emphasis on connection, consent, safety, clear communication, and fostering shared experiences.

PATRICK HAUGEN will be around to check you in and ensure water is filled and assist with any other needs.
