HYBRID: Getting to Your Submissive Core with Auntie Vice

*This class will be offered both in person at Trellis in San Francisco, and simultaneously as a live, online class offered through Zoom. Please select SF or online tickets when purchasing.*

Desires and needs in relationships are extremely complex. The drive to try/live as a submissive is influenced by everything from gender role beliefs to religion to trauma. Understanding what drives your submission is key to creating the relationships and intimacy you desire.

The class covers the basics of how desires form, what shapes our beliefs about ourselves in relationships, and how D/s style relationships can feed positive and negative feelings. Participants will leave with a host of tools to help them delve deeply into their identity and desires. The class covers some of the biological and emotional basis for desires. We also cover cultural, religious, and familial influences of your needs and desires.

This class uses developmental and somatic psychology as the basis for tools and understanding. Some of the tools and exercises can prompt uncomfortable or upsetting feelings for people. Some participants share these feelings. The class is designed to be a welcoming space for people to explore their understanding of desire. You do not have to share anything you don't want to. Please be aware others may be sharing experiences that might upset you. All participants are asked to give content warnings before possibly upsetting shares.
