Hard Lessons: Wooden Implements & Pervertables

Ready to move beyond hands? In this intermediate class, we’ll explore the world of wooden implements and pervertables—everyday objects repurposed for impact play.

Using paddles as our starting point, we’ll break down how different properties—such as material, weight, shape, and leverage—affect the way an implement hits. From there, we’ll apply that same framework to common household items and discuss what makes a pervertable safe, effective, and psychologically delicious.

This 90-minute class includes demonstrations throughout, along with a short hands-on exploration period where participants can try a variety of implements. Attendees are also welcome to bring objects they’re curious about for discussion.

About the instructors:

Jack Woodland (MrWoodland on FetLife) is a BDSM educator, performer, event coordinator, and lifestyle player based in Los Angeles. A “hard-wired” spanko, with over ten years of experience in all things kink, there is nothing he loves more than a good spanking.

Lark Dearborne (@larkdearborne on IG) is a Pansexual, Lifestyle Switch and a sex-positive, kink-friendly, Stylist, Costume Designer, and Event Producer based in Los Angeles, California. Her background in theater and film has always driven her to explore personal narratives; helping others express their stories through performance and clothing.
