Hip Harness + Leg Lacing with Hajime Kinoko & Marica Hase

Join us for a rare opportunity to learn directly from renowned Japanese rope artist Hajime Kinoko, in a focused, one-night workshop exploring a new suspension-ready harness design.

In this class, Kinoko will share a hip harness that incorporates leg lacing techniques to create a secure, sustainable structure for single-point suspensions - avoiding the stress placed on knees in futomomo ties and increasing sustainability through better weight distribution. This design stems from Kinoko’s desire to expand access to suspension for a wider range of bodies and experiences, and we’re honored to host the pattern's North American premiere.

Whether you’re looking to refine your suspension skills or explore harness designs that center adaptability and care, this workshop offers both technical insight and artistic inspiration.

You Should Know:

This class assumes comfort with suspension - folks tying should be confident in their upline management and folks bottoming should have prior experience with providing feedback while in the air.

Please bring your own rope and safety equipment.

Students are welcome to suspend from either a ring or carabiners, as Kinoko does.

Spaces are extremely limited—advance registration is required.
