Humanist Ceremony - Immersion Ritual

In the Assemblage of Areté, individuals mark their commitment to the principles of Aretéanism and to our community by progressing their membership through stages, represented by the Four Classical Elements of the Ancient World: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. On September 6th we'll have a special meeting where one of our Fire members will advance to the Water stage of membership; symbolizing their total immersion in the ideals of our movement by being ritually submersed in water!

This is a special experience designed to take advantage of the psychological power of non-magical ritual and tradition, to help us make changes in our lives and to be more committed to helping those around us. If you've never attended one of our meetings before, this could be a great opportunity to get some insight into what we're about!

This event is happening at a home in eastern Chula Vista with a swimming pool and a hot tub. We'll have a pool party afterwards to celebrate, so bring or wear a swimsuit! Lunch will be provided during the party, but bringing food or drinks to share is encouraged!
