Remember the fun (and sexual tension) of Prom? Maybe you were a jock, a goth, a nerd, or an artist. Or maybe you identify with the chaperones, chiding youthful shenanigans. No matter your style, get prepared to relive a special night with a kinky twist at Ignite: Prom!

This is going to be a fun night of play and socializing, so come stag and meet new friends or bring a date (or two). Dig out your tux or prom dress and maybe rip it off as the night goes on. There's no dress code at this party, so whether dressed to the nines or in leather/fetish attire, wear what makes you comfortable. The great thing about prom this time around is you can do and wear what you want.Charter a limo, ask that special someone for a dance (or a beating in the dungeon) and come join the party!

The atmosphere will be sexy and fun. Ask that special someone for a dance, or for a beating in the dungeon. Get a prom photo taken. Meet some new people. Maybe the school nurse will be there with needles or the principle with their paddle. We'll bring light snacks to fuel your sexy fun, music to play by, and we'll have a night to remember.

We are hosting our FREE popular Dungeon Introduction and Etiquette class at the event venue starting at 6pm. Come check out the space ahead of time and learn what to expect at the party! See below for more details.

Volunteers receive free entry to the event. The volunteer list will be posted in the Society of Janus Fetlife group.

Covid Vaccination and Testing Policy:

If you have a known, close exposure to Covid within the last 5 days, DO NOT come to this event, regardless of testing status. Your ticket will be refunded.

To attend our event, you must

1) Be vaccinated against Covid

2) Have a picture of a negative, day-of, at-home Covid test, including your name and date in the picture

Please be ready with your proof of vaccination (card, picture, state record, etc) and a time-stamped/dated image of your negative rapid test taken the same day (day of the event) at the door. THIS INCLUDES VOLUNTEERS.

If you forget to test, there are nearby drugstores where you can get one and test before entering. We may have a small number of tests available for sale at the door (which are more expensive than you can buy elsewhere), but ask that you enter masked and then go outside to take your test.

The Ignite party series is designed to be a welcoming place for newcomers in addition to experienced players. As always, our parties emphasize socializing and meeting new people in addition to the hot scenes going on. It's all about the community coming together and having a great time, so everyone of all roles, experience level, orientations, and gender identity are always welcomed at SoJ events. Public parties are all about being able to live out your fantasies safely using the venue's equipment for play and social spaces to meet wonderful people. This is a place where you can ask questions of the party host, ambassadors, dungeon monitors, and more experienced players. Just please just don't interrupt anyone while they are playing!

This party isn't just open to newcomers. It is open to anyone looking for a fun and connective time with other folx in the Bay Area Kink Community. (Please note: This party IS NOT intended to be a place to cruise for new players. Aggressive cruising will not be tolerated. This is a place to have fun, meet people, and bring the community together.)

Refunds and Community Access Policy

Full refunds for any reason will be honored and processed until 72 hours (3 days) prior to the event. Past that point, refunds will only be granted for known Covid exposures/positive Covid tests. You may also directly transfer your ticket to another attendee at any point.

Tickets may be transferred to another person by the ticket holder contacting us and letting us know who will be taking the ticket. A limited number of community access tickets will be made available to those with financial need.

Dungeon Introduction and Etiquette Program

First time in a dungeon environment? First time at a kink party? Returning after a long absence? We're here for you with our Dungeon Introduction and Etiquette class, starting at 6:00 pm and running for 60-75 minutes (up until the party starts).

This is a free educational course held right at the venue and designed to make your first time at a kink/play party easier. Come check out the space with the lights on, ask questions, and learn what to expect from your first event. Our Orientation Team will be thrilled to help you get your footing.

Accessibility Notes

There will be music playing at a volume that fills the space, but isn't blaringly loud. Ear plugs will be available if desired.

There will be colored lighting in various areas, but we avoid rapidly shifting colors.

The first floor is fully accessible and has social and limited play spaces. The basement is only accessible via stairs and has more play equipment.
