Improv for Creative Freedom: A Special Two-Day Weekend with Daniel

Unleash your playful self through improv, dance & connection. Join one or both classes to spark joy, flow & creative freedom.

Special Two-Day Weekend: attend either event standalone, or come to both for a full immersion!

At these Improv for Creative Freedom workshops, you are invited to:

  1. Unleash your childlike expressive nature in a welcoming, attuned container
  2. Get into the flow state via improv, dance, and authentic relating games
  3. Take yourself less seriously by trying on new ways of being you
  4. Engage in exercises designed to bring this energy into your life

Deep inside you lies an endless well of creative potential: the wild and magical energy of your inner child. Many of us have shut down aspects of our innocent, playful nature—societal expectations and ancestral traumas have molded us to conform and fit in, resulting in various degrees of shut-down and contrived normalcy. This workshop is a call to re-open to the wild, joyous, free play of who we really are.

Movement and dance practice will invite soulful states to express through our bodies. Authentic relating exercises will help us connect from the heart, building comfort and rapport as a group. Playful improv games will help us open to the flow and become freer and more confident in our expression.

Please arrive ON-TIME to honor the container.

Participate at whatever level is authentic to you—this is not a performance class. In a low-pressure environment, everyone is encouraged to find their growth edge into a more playful, expressive, loving way of being. No one is required to do anything.

This event is in-person only.

Friday 6:30-9pm workshop: sliding scale $25–$60

Sunday 2-6pm workshop: sliding scale $60–$180

Bundle Ticket: Friday + Sunday $80-$240

Please pay within your means.

What past participants have shared:

“Before signing up for Daniel's course I was pretty terrified at the thought of improv. Daniel's teachings were the perfect way to ease into a new way of approaching the world with more joy, playfulness, and an embrace of the unknown. Overall, this class was such a loving and healing experience.”— Meredith Rom, yoga teacher & women's leadership coach (meredithrom.com), Sebastopol, CA

“Daniel is a master teacher. He creates a warm, loving, dynamic creative space for all his students to shine. As a student, I felt I was given permission to explore new territories and expand my creative range. His keen insight and gentle coaching are invaluable. This is not just a class in being better improvisers but being better in connecting with other humans, being better in life! Thank you, Daniel.”— Ann Randolph, award-winning writer & performer (annrandolph.com), Princeville, HI

“Daniel’s course has been a major blessing in my life—this has cured my social anxiety and loneliness! I’ve loved letting my inner child run free, wild and super weird.”— Rachel “Rae” Rich, photographer-filmmaker, Kapaa, HI

“I absolutely loved Daniel's course. It truly exceeded all of my expectations and then catapulted me into emotional places I never thought I could access; places of total love, silliness, trust, creativity, and authentic expression.”— Bianca S., student, Kilauea, HI

“Daniel is an incredibly talented, loving, playful, and encouraging facilitator. There’s something sacred and spiritual about the way he works, which I’ve never seen another facilitator do. I was opened up to more play, more creativity, and unexpectedly, a more open heart.”— Moshe Ovadia, senior management associate, New York City, NY

“This is the best improv course I've ever taken, and I've done Chicago's Second City conservatory and taken classes at iO and Annoyance. It IS possible to get back to that childhood feeling of play, and it's about the space Daniel creates. My highest recommendation.”— C.B., marketing manager, Mill Valley, CA

“This course was magical and beautiful! Daniel's facilitation was exquisite. I now feel more empowered to step into who I truly am.”— Karen Prosen, spirit guide (karenprosen.com), Occidental, CA

“It was everything I was hoping it would be. Very fun and playful with a focus on allowing ourselves to share on a deeper level in a safe space.”— Rebecca M., massage therapist, Anahola, HI

“The class helped me see social events as opportunities to play rather than obligations that provoke anxiety.”— Travis Usinger, massage therapist, Moloa'a, HI
