Intro to BDSM with Javay da BAE #pdxkinkweek

Did PDX Kink Week ignite a fire or curiosity in you? Well, come explore some beginner-friendly kink & BDSM activities at Sub Rosa with Javay da BAE, aka The Millennial Sexpert.

This workshop will introduce participants to the foundations of kink/BDSM play and get them started with activities such as impact play, sensation play, temperature play, and restraints.

Participants will learn:

• safety principles for kink & BDSM
• how to craft a scene
• learning more about kink & BDSM activities
• where is safe to hit on the body
• how to spank with hands and use a paddle
• how to explore sensation play with items like feather ticklers, Wartenberg wheels, and blindfolds
• dip their toys into temperature play by learning how to use ice cubes and wax play candles
• and how to restrain with cuffs and spreader bars.

Who is this class for?

This is a great workshop for folks who have been curious about kink & BDSM but unsure where to begin. It is open to all genders, sexualities, and sides of the slash.

Accessibility

Masks are optional and welcome. We are not requiring vaccination cards at this time. Sadly, our space is not ADA accessible. The steps to the exterior door do not have a handrail; the stairs to the second floor do have a handrail, with 12 steps to the landing and 11 more to floor 2. Please request assistance if you would like someone to meet you at the door. Reach out if there are other accessibility accommodations we might be able to make for you or if you need ASL interpretation.

Javay da BAE, aka the Millennial Sexpert, is a sex educator, content creator, sex researcher, and kinkster. She has been teaching sex ed through her social media profiles and in-person at sex shops across the country for nearly a decade.
