Learn the basics of leather crafting and make your own mini-flogger with professional leather-crafter and toymaker Oddment Ollie
Join Oddment Ollie on a hands-on adventure in leather craft!
Ollie has constructed an intro to leather craft course that is specifically designed for those who have never worked leather before in their life. Those who have worked leather before? Feel free to join in, use the supplies provided and politely ignore Ollie for the remainder of the class.
For this intro class, students will be working on making a very simple and small flogger that they will get to take home! From choosing materials to executing design, the finished product will be up to you. Students will get an insider look at the work that goes into making a flogger. They will gain exposure to different types, textures, thicknesses and looks of leather materials.
This intro course will be an excellent way for attendees to exercise and engage their creativity, fine motor skills and muscles. Come get a work out for your entire brain and take home a little flogger made with your own hands!
Class price includes a $25 materials fee, which allows us to offer students use of the materials necessary to make their floggers (i.e., leather and leather-crafting tools).
Ollie (she/her) began leather working at the tender age of twenty-nine. She wanted a leather chair, but due to the high costs of genuine leather upholstered furniture, buying one was not an option. True to character, Ollie decided that she could learn how to upholster a chair if she wanted to and spent the next two years hand-stitching leather scrap together in order to reupholster a chesterfield from craigslist. During the covid crisis, Ollie found the kink community (LAKW) and the kink community found out that Ollie could work with leather. She began taking commissions for custom pieces, and set up shop as a gear maker in the community. Ollie specializes in creating unique pieces that break the mold of what BDSM gear is “supposed” to look like. Her store, Oddment Ollie, maintains the approach that your BDSM gear should be as unique and individual as you are.
