Kinky Cannamunch: Rainbow Ribs & Reefer - A Pride Potluck BBQ

Last Pride Month we held our first Potluck BBQ in Forest Hills Park and it was an amazing success. We had a great turn out, made lots of great friends, got really stoned, ate lots of food, played music and had a great time!

We decided to do it again this year and this time we're going to the Beach! That's right. We'll be holding another Pride Month Pot Luck BBQ, but we're going to Jacob Riis Park! Not only that but we're gonna start the fun earlier so we can really spend the entire day together.

We are going to need some help and volunteers for this one so please refer our [Volunteer Post](https://fetlife.com/events/1774019/discussions/8989291363#comment) and let us know how you can help! In particular we're looking for volunteers to arrive early and lock down a table and grill. We plan to start at 2pm! We'll be making a new post so attendees can respond with what food they'd like bring or anything else.

Jacob Riis Park is in Queens, in Far Rockaway right on the other side of the Marine Park Bridge. There is plenty of room so we encourage everyone to bring blankets to put on the grass or sand, swimming suits if they wanna go swimming (there's rumored to be a nude section of the beach!), bring a Kite, Water Guns and balloons, not just food and weed. Lets make this a BBQ to remember.

Transportation and Parking

There is a 20$ per vehicle per day parking fee in effect from 8am to 6pm.

To get to Jacob Riis Park via Train and Bus, you can take the subway to Flatbush/Nostrand Avenue (2 or 5 train) and then transfer to the Q35 bus. The Q35 will take you to either Fort Tilden or Jacob Riis stop after the bridge. During the off-season, both the Q22 and Q35 buses stop at Beach 149th Street. Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, both buses will stop inside Jacob Riis Park. Another option is to take the Q21 or Q53 to Beach 116th Street and then transfer to the Q22 or Q35.

PSA: Please be aware that Jacob Riis Park is on Federal Land, meaning technically Weed Smoking is still illegal. So long as we don't get too crazy we should not draw any attention, but everyone should be aware of the risk of maybe getting ticket.
