The Bay Area kink and rope scene has been so lucky to have @The_Silence documenting (almost everything!) over the years with his gorgeous photography. And now VoxBody and The Silence are teaming up for a photography-focused event series; come learn from the magic maker himself, and practice your skills in our beautiful space!
* Please note: VoxBody events are selling out well ahead of time this year. Don't wait too long to secure your spot! Purchasing a ticket is the ONLY way to secure a spot (adding yourself to an RSVP list does not secure a spot). Join the waitlist for an event through the ticket link (emailing us does NOT add you to the waitlist). We understand this can be frustrating and are amazed at how many people are currently interested in rope events; thank you for your patience and perseverance!

We all like to take photos of our rope, kink, leather, outfits, and play. And learning how to do it well takes time and effort that can take away from the fun.
Presenting a Kinky Photo Jam series where you can practice your basic and kinky photography. Join us on January 18 (sold out), February 15 (sold out), and March 15! Each event is registered individually, so you can join us for one, two or all three! We do hope to have a repeating group of attendees so that knowledge and skills can be progressive!
Each photo jam will open with a lesson/discussion, followed by a task on one aspect of basic and kinky photography. @The_Silence will offer help and advice on how to achieve that task. At the end of each class, we will view and critique our work as a group. This will not be about being perfect, it will be about learning and growing!
Monthly themes:
AUGUST: Playing with Gender/Non-Gender
SEPTEMBER: Where to place your lights
OCTOBER: Spooky Themes
Note About Tickets: Each photographer should register with a ticket. You are welcome to bring along ONE model or plan to self-shoot. Models do not need to buy tickets. VoxBody/TheSilence does NOT provide models....if you want to shoot someone, you need to bring them with you! ONE MODEL PER PHOTOGRAPHER ONLY. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO SELF-SHOOT, YOU NEED ONE TICKET. We are keeping the capacity of this event very limited so you will have room in the studio to shoot; this also equals lots of opportunity for one-on-one guidance with The Silence!
What to bring:
- Your camera. A cell phone is fine, but if you have a dedicated camera, bring it!
- Model, items or yourself to self-shoot (please note: we do not provide models)
- Lighting (depending on the class, will probably limit to 1 or 2 light stands)

About The Silence:
@The_Silence started photographing his rope work over 9 years ago and shoots multiple times a week. He developed his style through adapting what he's learned in classes, the internet, and a whole LOT of trial & error. Because of photography, he’s had to push himself and gain the knowledge from multiple teachers and sources over the years.
