Untying isn’t just the end of a scene—it is the scene. In this unique workshop, Rorpheus invites you to explore the often-overlooked art of untying as a practice of presence, precision, and deep connection.

Discover how removing rope with intention can create waves of sensation, emotional release, or a space for soft surrender. Learn how untying is not about undoing what was done, but continuing the story with every motion and pause.

🪢 Sensation Techniques: How rope removal can enhance or contrast the feeling of restraint.

🌬️ Timing & Breath: Use rhythm, stillness, and breathwork to create meaningful transitions as rope leaves the body.

🌀 Emotional Attunement: Recognize how untying can be tender, cathartic, playful—or even part of a power exchange.

🎭 Scene Integration: Discover how untying can shift roles, close emotional loops, or act as a soft landing after intense play.

🎯 Workshop Format:

1. Partnered practice + solo observation options
2. Guided exercises for physical and emotional awareness during rope removal
3. Structured debriefing for learning and integration
4. All levels welcome

🧶 Guided Jam (10:00–11:45 PM): Practice rope removal as ritual, as foreplay, as closure—or create your own meaning. Choose from light prompts like "Unwrap with Intention," "Pause Before Pull," or "Every Coil is a Conversation."

🎲 Jam Game: "The Softest Hands" Participants are challenged to untie their partner using the least amount of effort and most amount of feeling. No yanks, no shortcuts—only presence. Partners then describe how each movement felt and what emotional tone it carried.

⚠️ Participation & Physical Care Note:

Untying can still produce strong sensations—pressure release, rope burn, and emotional vulnerability are all possibilities. To minimize harm, this class includes:

1. Demonstration of safe rope removal techniques
2. Emphasis on slowing down and observing body reactions
3. Use of rhythm and breath for smoother transitions
4. Grounded communication between partners
5. Readily accessible safety shears

Rorpheus is a certified CPR & First Aid instructor, and facilitators are prepared to support you. By attending, you agree to care for yourself and your partners and release the facilitators and venue from any liability.
