Our Mission:

We exist to ensure there is a lively and vibrant home for our community of events, businesses, bars and organizations in SOMA.

What we do:

- We Keep SOMA Kinky and Queer by backing legislation, such as allowing bathhouses

- We install public art like murals and leather pride flags on light poles

- We create community gathering spaces to activate our artists, performers and makers

- We provide an Entrepreneur Training Program for our community

- We partner with local businesses and organizations to help them navigate City Hall and promote their events

- We provide walking tours of historic SOMA locations.

The LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District’s vision is to rejoice, commemorate, and protect the contributions of our predecessors, contemporaries, and successors rooted in the Leather and LGBTQ Cultural District and its diverse and marginalized peoples. United, we preserve, enhance, and advocate for the continuity and vitality of the Kinky and Queer communities of San Francisco's Leather and LGBTQ Cultural District.
