Masochism for your nervous system

What if the emotions we've been taught to avoid — anger, fear, shame, grief — weren't obstacles to overcome, but invitations to come home to ourselves?

For so many of us, especially femme folks, have learned to be "fine." To smile through discomfort. To rise above our messy, complicated feelings. To keep it all together, even when we're falling apart inside.

What if there's another way? What if we could stay present with what feels uncomfortable while also discovering unexpected moments of relief, warmth, or even pleasure within those same emotions?

In this 2-hour gathering, we'll explore:

  • How to stay grounded and present when intense emotions arise — without getting swept away or shutting down completely
  • The art of pendulation: gently moving between what's challenging and what soothes us
  • Somatic practices that help you become the witness and experiencer of your own emotional landscape, rather than being overtaken by it
  • How to resource yourself — finding sensations of safety, warmth, or vitality already present in your body that can hold you through emotional intensity
  • Tantric wisdom that honors the full spectrum of human emotion as sacred, not something to transcend or fix

Let’s expand our capacity to feel all of ourselves — the messy, the beautiful, the tender, the fierce — with curiosity, compassion, and even pleasure. Because feeling fully is one of the most courageous acts of self-love

This workshop is for you if:

You're a femme-identifying human who knows your emotions matter, and you're done pretending they don't. You're curious about somatic practices, body wisdom, and nervous system awareness. You've done some personal work — therapy, meditation, yoga, journaling — and you're ready to go deeper. You want permission to feel without apology, and tools to do it safely.

What to expect:

This will be a gentle, trauma-informed experience. All practices are self-focused — no partnered touch, no pressure to share more than feels right, no performative vulnerability. You'll be guided with care, invited to honor your own pace, and held in a container of deep respect and safety.

Come as you are. Wear something comfortable. Bring your whole heart — the parts that smile easily and the parts that ache. Both are welcome here.
